A good story is timeless; it communicates across countless generations, travels across multiple cultures and is not hindered by its audience’s race, age or gender.

A good story is universal.

Whether it was through literature, cinema or theatre, my love and admiration for storytelling has always been a constant throughout my life. As I explored different genres and discovered new mediums of storytelling, I became captivated by animation. The field of animation is one that allows storytellers to illustrate their narratives however they wish without any of the restraints or limitations that comes with reality; animation is only limited by the skill and imagination of the artist drawing the frames. It is this limitlessness that drew me to animation as my primary form of storytelling.

My interest in animation has always been drawn to the pre-production phase, the conceptual stage of ideas, narratives and visuals. The majority of my work focuses on the visual development of animation, exploring the visual aesthetic and imagery of a story, its characters and environments, and attempting to illustrate the progression of the story through rough storyboards and animatics. Throughout my work, my main intention is to provide my audience with a few moments of entertainment in the day, exposing them to fantastical, heightened versions of their world and providing them with heartwarming and optimistic narratives to inspire a positive outlook on their own reality.
