Animation Experimentation

Behind the Scenes
STOP MOTION
This was one of my first times experimenting with stop motion animation

After Effects Tests
During my study year abroad, studying animation in Portugal, I took part in several collaborative group animation projects. One such project was to create an rough animation for a possible title sequence to a well known film. My partner and I decided to create an animation for the film 'Mission Impossible'.
For the Project, I decided to take a step out of my comfort zone as an artist and took the role of Head Animator for the project, in order to develop my skills on Adobe After effects. My partner, Matthew Gaia, was the Director and Creative leader of the project. He designed the storyboard, timed and paced the animation and drew the characters and images for me to later animate digitally in after effects. He also created short frame-by-frame animations of the characters to properly capture their facial expressions.
